Cream cheese with garlic rocket

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The garlic ragwort helps against spring tiredness and is a medicinal herb which provides many vitamins and minerals. It contains a high content of vitamin C and stimulates the detoxification of the body through the kidneys.

I have garlic ragwort growing in 3 places in my garden. In the spring I often flick it into my cream cheese and eat it for supper. It tastes like garlic as its name suggests. However, it only tastes like it. It does not give the typical aftertaste or garlic breath. That is its unbeatable advantage!

If you want to try the recipe with peppers, I recommend you first wash a few leaves of garlic radish (4-5 leaves) and chop them in a blender on high speed at 4-5 seconds. Then add half a bell bell pepper or optionally 1/4 yellow and 1/4 red bell bell pepper. Crush the peppers together with the garlic radish in a blender on speed 5-6 for about 4-5 seconds.

Now, in a bowl, put the package of cream cheese and add salt, pepper and a little mineral water. The mineral water is best mixed with the cream cheese with a whisk. When the desired creaminess is reached, add the chopped bell pepper and garlic mixture to the cream cheese and mix everything together.

Enjoy it!

Angel on earth

When one feels connected to certain beings, one can give them a place in one’s premises. I feel connected with angels and have found a small beautiful covered place for this angel on my terrace.

I planted a white scented lilac in the angel. It grows slowly, is beautiful to look at and represents romantic, innocent love, joy and cheerfulness. To the right and left I planted purple cushion bellflowers Catharina. I was taken with the name; my mother wears the same. The bellflower gives the feeling of security, inner knowledge and gratitude through its “hat”. And a few ivy offshoots from the garden were added. The ivy represents not only life, but also eternity, love and loyalty. This meaning of the plants is reflected in their sight and especially the combination. The potting soil I mixed a handful of sand, so that the soil is loose and permeable.

The angel is mounted directly on the patio wall, so it has a fairly wind-protected semi-shaded covered location. The wall is well charged by the sun and stores the heat. The lilac, as well as bluebells and ivy, like a semi-shaded warm location.

When the lilac begins to bloom, I will post you another picture.
The angel is already now a real eye-catcher.

What is reality?

Sometimes things look different than they actually are. Therefore, it is all the more beneficial to be sensitive to the energies and moods in our environment. These energies are best perceived when we are in our center or in our inner peace. Listen to yourself. What does your heart tell you in silence? What is your inner child whispering to you?

Look more closely, observe and you will see things with different eyes and discover, for example, the law of correspondence:

This law gives us a hint that everything is in everything. One can compare certain things with each other and will always find a correspondence. You can do that very well in nature. For example, if you compare a tree with moss. If you look at the moss under the microscope or the magnifying glass, it looks like a tree.

Everything was created by the same energy, so it is also understandable that this energy is to be found in everything again. Everything is connected with each other. Therefore, it is even more important to be at peace with yourself and to listen carefully to the moods and energies in your environment.

The more you meditate regularly, ground yourself and spend time in nature, the more you become aware of your surroundings and what is not necessarily visible to the eye and other people.

To sharpen one’s intuitive senses, one can sit down in a place preferably in nature. There you linger and perceive nature with all your senses. In the first minutes you can leave your eyes open. After that you should close them. The goal is to breathe slowly and consciously, to perceive the sounds of the environment, to perceive yourself and to come into your inner peace.

Ostera

March 20/21 is the spring equinox. On this day the day is as long as the night. It heralds the turning point, the light triumphs over darkness. And because of the light, plants can flourish and grow. So this turning point also represents growth, fertility, new beginnings, life and vitality. In the past, this moment was especially celebrated. But March 21 is also the feast of the Celtic goddess of spring and fertility, Ostera.

The egg is particularly revered at this time, as it also represents the birth of the new, growth and life. With the family on this day you can hang the eggs in the garden, decorate the house for Easter, plant cress in a small bowl, look for and tie together soon blooming branches for a door wreath or decorate them in a vase in the house  and in the evening make a small fire outside or in the fireplace and read Easter stories or explain the spring equinox. There are no limits to the imagination. So even the little ones learn what it has to do with these festivals.

Enjoy this special time of joy and light with your loved ones!

Yucca palm propagate

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

If your yucca palm has already grown quite big or it has grown a bit crooked like my “cutting” on the picture, you can cut it off and propagate it.

The yucca palm is an easy-care houseplant. The yucca palm should never stand wet, because it stores water in its robust trunk. It tolerates sun as well as shade, so it is particularly easy to care for and that is why I have taken it especially to my heart!

For the propagation you need a large flower pot. I have taken one without a hole in the bottom. Now fill this flower pot with potting soil. Then take a sharp bread knife and cut off the upper part of the yucca palm. Now lubricate the cut of the trimmed yucca palm with some tree resin, so that the cut is completely covered with the tree resin (as you can see on the pictures below).

Now take the cut piece of yucca palm and remove some leaves from the trunk. It is best to remove a good piece; namely the piece that is then also subsequently planted and disappears in the potting soil.

After you have removed enough leaves, plant it in the flower pot filled with potting soil. Water your offshoot regularly, about once a week.

After a while, the pruned yucca palm will sprout again at the side of the cut. I regularly propagate all my houseplants that I do well with. So I always have beautiful plants in my living spaces.

Have fun with your new plant!

Muesli for super power :-)

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

For extra energy, you can prepare the following muesli.

First, mix the walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds and raisins. Then add the sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, banana, apple, grapes and wild berries to the blender.

In a small bowl you pack the millet flakes and the 5 grain flakes. Put the mixture from the blender on top. If your diet is not exclusively vegan, you can also add a tablespoon of sour cream or a little milk.

Have a great start into the day – with super power!

Green Smoothie

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

In spring, we often still feel a bit limp and lacking in energy. To counteract this, smoothies help very well. You can put them in smoothie jars, close tightly, store in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days. This is a good support to take the daily recommended dose of vegetables and fruits.

Since wild herbs contain more ingredients than the things we can buy in the supermarket, I always add a few seasonal wild herbs to each of my smoothies as well.

In March there are not so many of them yet. For this reason, I added some dandelion leaves to this smoothie.
All ingredients need to be washed thoroughly before you process them. The vegetables should be of the best quality and therefore use organic quality if possible.

First, the fruit should be put in the blender. Then comes the vegetables. Everything should be cut into coarse pieces. For apples, only the ends should be cut off. The casing can also be chopped. The cucumber I always peel around as shown in the photo.
You should add about 1/4 liter of water and some ice cubes so that the smoothie is nice and cold. The avocado makes the smoothie extra creamy.

When you have mixed all the ingredients, you can pour the liquid through a funnel into the empty and clean smoothie glasses and close them well.

Enjoy it!

Happy Time – Incense for positive vibes

Category : Here & Now

This incense smells sweet and carefree as the summer and thus makes a good mood all by itself.

In the photo you can see the ingredients and the proportions to which I took them. You can grind the ingredients in a blender, with scissors or with your fingers. When I make larger quantities, I usually chop the ingredients in the blender. For this, the ingredients which are the hardest, such as the resin should be crushed first, before you add the easily crushable ingredients, such as the magnolia petals.

Have fun smoking and the positive mood!

Feather fans for incense

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Some time ago I made a feather fan myself to distribute the smoke when smoking around me, other people or simply more targeted in the room. Homemade items, which you use in your incense or otherwise in your rituals have a different energy than those that you buy. Because you have made them yourself, you also have a different connection to them.

For the feather fan, I used a piece of the bark of an oak tree. I have collected them at my place of power. You should let the tree bark dry before processing, brush it well and remove the dirt. For the ribbons you need, I recommend you to choose your favorite colors. You can easily collect the feathers on walks.

I actually have a story about this. When I had almost finished my feather fan, I forgot to close the door to my room and my dog ate the almost finished feather fan. It was already very cold outside and the leaves had fallen from the trees. I thought I would not find a single feather outside, but when I went for a walk in the afternoon, I found by chance a place where many feathers were lying on the ground.

The feathers that are suitable for your feather fan will find their way to you.

You should wash and dry the feathers before processing. This is best done in a soap bath. To dry, you can then put them in a jar after you have rinsed them with clean water.

When the feathers are dry you can start processing. First you should look by hand how the feathers fit best in a row. When you have found the best arrangement, then take the needle and preferably white thread to hand and sew them together at the end of the feather, so that they lie together like a fan. To make it stick better you can take some wood glue and spread it at the end of the feathers. Let it dry overnight.

I also made a second row with smaller feathers on my feather fan. Here you also proceed as described above and sew them together with needle and white thread. Then spread some wood glue at the end of the feathers and let it dry overnight.

You can now sew the 2 rows of feathers together and then smear them again with wood glue. Then glue them to the lower side of the tree bark and let them dry for some time. Do not let them dry out completely; the wood glue should still be a little soft. Now you can put the ribbons around the feathers and the tree bark and tighten them a bit. Later you can add your decorations.

Before using the feather fan for the first time, you should smoke it and charge it energetically. You should repeat the charging from time to time.

Have fun creating your feather fan!
