Maybug

On a sunny May day, my children discovered this maybug on a gravel path in our backyard. It was a special event because he makes a neat buzzing sound when he flies.

The power animal cockchafer comes into our lives when something patiently matured comes to light. The cockchafer itself needs years to complete the metamorphosis from grub (larva) to cockchafer. He brings and patience, perseverance and love. So you should pursue your projects persistently, patiently and with the necessary care. The grub feeds on surrounding plant roots for a long time underground. So the projects are deeply rooted with Mother Earth and bear abundant fruits after patient pursuit.

The maybug comes flying into our lives with a loud buzz, so that the projects and plans are perceived as profitable and with special attention from the outside world and bring appropriate recognition for the newly created. When the cockchafer enters our lives, joy, conviviality and lightness move into our lives. It is a true event when the cockchafer after years has completed its metamorphosis, leaves the old behind and joyfully enters a new “life form”.

The cockchafer perceives quite a lot of its surroundings with the numerous nerves on its antennae. The antennae serve as an olfactory organ, which the males use to recognize females, for example. The power animal cockchafer helps us to look at life from different angles and to better perceive the different facets of a matter.
