Chrismas scent – Insence Burner

A nice incense mixture or incense balls for centering can also be used during the rough nights. The scent is very pleasant and a bit sweetish.

The following ingredients are needed for the “basic mixture”:
1 part juniper berries,
2 parts of yarrow,
2 parts St. John’s wort,
2 parts of lady’s grass,
1 part cloves,
1 part oak bark
1 part star anise
1 part spruce resin

Put all ingredients in a blender and chop.

Then melt the spruce resin in an old glass in a water bath at medium heat.

In the meantime, spread small heaps of the spice mixture on a strip of baking paper.

When the resin has melted, spread a little on each pile and make small balls of incense.

If there is still some of the incense mixture left, you can refine it, for example, either with rose petals (for heart opening), goldenrod (to celebrate new beginnings) or blood loosestrife (for clarification of thoughts, liberation from negative thoughts or protection).
